About Dr. Uday Thanawala
Dr. Uday Thanawala is a distinguished Obstetrician and Gynecologist in Navi Mumbai. He obtained an MBBS degree in 1982. He later earned an MD in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai in 1984 and a DGO from CPS, Mumba. He also obtained a Fellowship from the College of Physicians & Surgeons (FCPS) and a DNB from the National Board, New Delhi. His wide range of services include Birth Preparedness, Pregnancy Management, Infertility Treatment, Gynecological Surgeries, Menopause advice, Hysterectomy, Ovarian Tumors, and Endometriosis Treatment.
Dr.Thanawala worked in KEM Hospital as a lecturer. He currently serves as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Thanawala's Maternity Home, Navi Mumbai. He was honored with the Sir G.M. Masani Prizes for the Best Research Paper at Wadia Hospital consecutively in 1981 and 1982. Dr. Uday was the vice president of the Federation of Obstetrics & Gynecological Societies of India (FOGSI) in 2015 and the Vice-Chairman of the Indian College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ICOG) in 2018. He was also the Chairperson Medical Disorders in Pregnancy Committee of FOGSI from 2006 to 2008 and Joint Secretary of the Federation Of Obstetrics & Gynecological Societies of India FOGSI in 2005. He is a member of the Treasurer PCOS Society Of India and Founder Secretary and Past President of Navi Mumbai OBGY Society.
