About Dr. Sinem Karipcin

Dr. Sinem Karipcin is board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She earned an MD and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medicine. She provides services including Recurrent Pregnancy Loss, Assisted Reproduction, Donor Egg, and In vitro fertilization.

Dr. Karipcin served as a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas at Galveston. She is an Assistant Professor, Director, Infertility Specialist, and Reproductive Endocrinologist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive Investigation, the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society (PCRS), and the Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis International Society.

Dr. Sinem received the New York 2020 Super Doctors Award (Rising Star), and Ob-Gyn Golden Apple Teaching Award, UTMB at Galveston in 2009, 2010, and 2011. She received the Outstanding Achievement in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility(REI) Award, University of Texas Medical Branch(UTMB) at Galveston, in June 2012, and the Prize Winner Abstract in Endometriosis category, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), in November 2010. She also received the Resident and Fellow Research Night Outstanding Fellow Paper Award, from the New York Obstetrical Society, in April 2014 and Resident Research Day, Outstanding Research Achievement Award, UTMB at Galveston, in May 2010

8. Dr. Karipcin is an expert in decreasing the risk of genetically heritable diseases and has been an invited speaker in national and international meetings to speak about her area of expertise.

9. She is the Director of the Pre-Pregnancy Genetics Program. She leads a multidisciplinary team consisting of world leaders in Genetics to increase the awareness and accessibility of Preimplantation Genetic Testing to alleviate the suffering from severe genetic diseases.
