About Dr. Shruthi Mahalingaiah
Dr. Shruthi Mahalingaiah has been a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist and reproductive endocrinologist at Massachusetts General Hospital since 2019. She is also an Associate Professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Physician of Fertility and Ovulation Disorders at Mass General Brigham. Dr. Mahalingaiah specializes in Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Infertility, Recurrent pregnancy loss, and Menstrual disorders.
Dr. Mahalingaiah earned a BA in Chemistry and Spanish at Middlebury College and an MD from Harvard Medical School in 2004. She later completed an MS in Epidemiology and Reproductive Epidemiology from the Boston University School of Public Health in 2015. Dr. Shruthi completed her residency in OB/GYN and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility in 2011 at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Shruthi served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Boston University Superfund Research Program from 2014 to 2017. She was a Vice President in 2019, President Elect in 2020, and President in 2021 at New England Fertility Society. Dr. Mahalingaiah was also an Assistant Professor, Physician of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from 2011 to 2019, and an Associate Professor in 2019 at Boston University School of Medicine. She received the Endocrine Society Early Investigator Award in 2016, the Ellison Family Foundation Grant in 2016, and an RSDP seed grant in 2017.
