About Dr. S. Samuel Kim
Dr. S. Samuel Kim is a Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist at Tree Of Life Center, Los Angeles. He earned an MD from the Seoul National University, School of Medicine and a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility from the University of Washington in Seattle. He later completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the University of Leeds in England and a FACOG degree. He provides a wide range of treatments including In Vitro Fertilization, Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), and Egg Donation.
Dr. Kim served as an Intern and Resident Obstetrician and Gynecologist at Temple University in Philadelphia and was Head and Professor of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He was a Director of the KU Cancer Center and a Faculty member of Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He was also a Director of the fertility center at American-Sino Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Shanghai.
Dr. Samuel founded the International Society for Fertility Preservation (ISFP) in 2007 and served as the 2nd President of the Society. He is one of the founding members of the Asian Society for Fertility Preservation. He was one of three doctors in the USA who performed successful human ovarian transplantation in the early 2000s and the one who reported the first successful pregnancy and live birth from frozen oocytes in Kansas in 2011.
Dr. Kim received numerous scientific awards and has been lecturing worldwide (over 90 invitations). He served as an editorial board member of reputable journals including ‘Fertility and Sterility’. He also was on the advisory board of various organizations. He was selected as the ‘Super Doctor in REI’.
