Dr. Parasuram Gopinath is a distinguished Infertility Specialist who has dedicated his career to providing advanced and compassionate care to individuals and couples struggling with infertility. He currently serves as the Senior Consultant and Scientific Director at CIMAR, The Women’s Hospital, Medical Director and Teaching faculty at Edappal hospital, and as a Visiting consultant at Paul's hospital, all situated in Kochi, Kerala. He completed his MBBS at JJM Medical College in 2003 and further honed his skills by obtaining an MS in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from Sri Ramachandra Medical College in 2008.
He further underwent training in Advanced Embryology and Embryo Vitrification at CCCRM in Singapore as well as In Vitro Maturation (IVM) at the prestigious McGill Reproductive Centre at McGill University, thus enabling him to be equipped with the best of the skills to offer top quality services to his patients.
One of his significant achievements include performing the first IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically Selected Sperm Injection) baby in South India. He has also shone in his career by independently carrying out over 2500 ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) cycles. His expertise extends to being both a clinician and embryologist, reflecting his comprehensive understanding of the entire fertility treatment process. Dr. Gopinath is also an active member of several prestigious organizations, including being the current Treasurer of the Kerala Chapter of ISAR (Indian Society for Assisted Reproduction) and an Executive Committee Member of the Academy of Clinical Embryologists.
