Dr. Indira Hinduja

Dr. Hinduja completed her MBBS from the University of Bombay in 1968, followed by an MD in Obstetrics & Gynaecology from the same university in 1973. Her extensive educational background provided her with a strong foundation and knowledge base to excel in her chosen field.

Throughout her career, Dr. Indira Hinduja has held various positions at prestigious institutions, contributing to both patient care and medical education. She started as a House Physician at the Department of Pediatrics in BYL Nair Charitable Hospital and Topiwala National Medical (TNM) College from 1967 to 1968. She then served as a Registrar in Preventive and Social Medicine and later in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the same institution until 1972. Dr. Hinduja continued her professional journey as a Senior Registrar, Tutor, Reader (Assistant Professor), and ultimately became a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital and Seth GS Medical College.

Dr. Indira Hinduja's expertise extends to various aspects of infertility treatment and gynecological care. She specializes in handling gynecological problems, maternal care, high-risk pregnancies, and has made significant contributions to stem cell development, embryo implantation, endometrial receptivity, and metabolomics. Her dedication and commitment to her patients have resulted in numerous success stories and improved outcomes.

Some notable recognitions include the Young Indian Award, Outstanding Lady Citizen of Maharashtra State Jaycee Award, Bharat Nirman Award for Talented Ladies, International Women's Day Award by the Mayor of Bombay, Lifetime Achievement Award by the Federation of Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society of India, Dhanvantari Award by the Governor of Maharashtra, and the Padma Shri award from the Government of India.
