About Dr. Erkan Buyuk

Dr. Erkan Buyuk is a board-certified reproductive endocrinologist, infertility specialist, obstetrician, and gynecologist who practices at RMA of New York’s Eastside office. He earned an MD from the Hacettepe University Medical School, Turkey, and a Fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center. He also completed a FACOG degree. He provides treatments, including In vitro fertilization (IVF), Donor Egg, Fertility Preservation, and Embryo Genetic Testing.

Dr. Buyuk served as a Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Marmara University Hospital, in Turkey and Maimonides Medical Center. He was a Director at the Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a Director at RMA of New York. He is currently the Director of the Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI) Fellowship Program and examiner for the REI Division of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the Society for Reproductive Investigation, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, and the American Congress for Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Dr. Erkan published work on the first embryo created from an ovarian transplantation. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and abstracts focusing on various reproductive health topics. He received several awards including the Society for Reproductive Investigation/Bayer Award in 2018 and the Prize Paper at the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society Annual Meeting in 2019. He is a Top Doctor and has been named a New York Super Doctor every year since 2018 by Castle Connolly.
