About Dr. Bruce Shapiro
Dr. Bruce Shapiro is a Reproductive Endocrinologist, Medical Director, and the Founder of The Fertility Center of Las Vegas, established in 1988 as Southern Nevada’s first infertility clinic. He is dual board-certified in Obstetrics, Gynecology, Reproductive Endocrinology, and Infertility. Dr. Shapiro completed an MD from the University of Nevada in 1982 and a PhD from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
Dr. Shapiro completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Yale New Haven Hospital in 1986 and his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Yale University in 1988. He provides multiple services, including Intrauterine insemination, In vitro fertilization, Preimplantation genetic screening, and Third-party reproduction. Dr. Bruce serves as the Director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
Dr. Bruce has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 15 years. He was one of the first physicians to perform and report on blastocyst transfer in the United States. He received multiple research awards for this work. Dr. Shapiro was among the first in the world to standardize the use of GnRH agonist triggers in high responders undergoing ovarian stimulation.
