Dr. Kamini Rao

Dr. Kamini Rao is the Bengaluru based gynecologist. She is the founder and medical director of Milann Hospital, Bengaluru. She has been working since 1989. She also serves as editor of The International Journal of Infertility and Fetal Medicine. She works as senate member in Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Dr Kamini Rao handles cases of infertility, high risk obstetrics, gynecology endoscopy. She also provides third party reproduction. She completed her MBBS in 1977. Then she did DGO and Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Law and Ethics in 1979 & 2000 respectively. She went to U.K. and completed D.Ch and MRCOG. She trained in fetal invasive therapy at Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine, King’s College School of Medicine, London. She also trained in laser surgery at South Cleaveland Hospital, Middlesborough, U.K. Dr Kamini Rao received Post-Doctoral fellowship in Reproductive Medicine from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. She is on the post of editor in number of boards. Dr. Kamini Rao was awarded the Padma Shri by the President of India in 2014. She also set up charitable trusts for the promotion of academics, training and research. Dr Kamini Rao is also actively involved in social work.
